An air show in Ocean City?

Living in NJ, whenever I see "Ocean City" mentioned anywhere, I instantly wonder whether they are referring to Ocean City, NJ (which is a mere 20 minutes away from where we live) or Ocean City, MD. So, when I saw an article, online, that read, "Ocean City Likes Air Show Concept," I was instantly curious and drawn to the article--and the possibility of another local air show.

However, upon reading the article, I discovered that they were actually referring to the latter Ocean City, the one in Maryland (which is probably 2-4 hours from us, by car). While somewhat disappointed, having flown into the small airport in Ocean City, MD and having flown over the city itself, I also saw great potential in an air show in Ocean City, MD and might be inclined to attend the show myself (with my husband, of course!).

While the article makes it sound like an air show in Ocean City, MD, in June of 2008, is a definite possibility--with the council having "voted unanimously to approve the request to continue with plans"--it also mentions the possibility of being unable to secure a demonstration jet team, such as the Thunderbirds or the Blue Angels. Without such a team (and planes on ground-display), I don't know that we would attend, and I'm sure others, not local to Ocean City, MD, share our sentiment.
