NAS Oceana, 2006...FINALLY!

We apologize that it has taken this long, but we are FINALLY posting some of our pictures from the 2006 NAS Oceana Air Show... Some things are worth waiting for, and hopefully you'll feel that the pictures we've posted were worth waiting for.

The Navy Heritage Flight.

An F4U Corsair, from the World War II era, which
caught on fire on the flight-line when it was starting.

An F-15 with its air-brake up.

The Geico Sky-Typers.

An F-14, making its last air show appearance.

The NAS Oceana fleet doing a pass.

An E-2 AWACS doing a pass.

We won't be posting any pictures from the 2007 air show: We were unable to attend this year's air show in Virginia, in addition to several others; however, our absence was with good reason: We were home with our infant daughter, who was born at the end of May.

Congrats on the birth of your daughter-seems like a reasonable reason to miss NAS Oceana 2007. (just kidding of course-great reason!)

I have not done anything "posting" wise on my 2007 images-I was there Fri and Sat-still somewhat "down" from experencing my 1st air show with a crash/fatality.

Was present @ the 2006 show also-images can be seen here: http://www.pbase.com/slhfoto/nas_oceana_2006

Might have to pass on the 2008 show-time will tell-my wife and I are "expecting" a child in Oct.
